Edge Innovations created the murderous sharks for Deep Blue Sea, the
scariest shark movie since Jaws. Our stable of animatronic sharks
included everything from 5-foot minis to the 24-foot genetically engineered
monster that developed such a taste for humans in the movie. The sharks
were modeled after Mako sharks, the fastest sharks in the sea. How
authentic were they? Ask the actors; they were very hesitant to get in the
water with them even though they knew they were fake.
